Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they've found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back.
Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with two other couples, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins. --© Universal
Mary's Review : LIKEY
Why I liked it : Timothy Olyphant is in it. Don't recognize the name? Perhaps this will jar you memory...
Alas, that is not the only reason I liked it. It has an interesting twist that will keep you guessing. This is no award winner but it's a solid B movie. David Twohy produced this movie and Pitch Black. I like his style.
CONS: It takes at least 30 minutes to get past all the cheesy stuff. The acting is so bad it's painful. However, trust me when I say this, it all comes together in the end.
You'll either like it or hate. This is one where few are caught in the middle. This time I'm on the like side.
